In the Mirror of Care work – publication release

In the Mirror of Care Work is a project, symposium and publication that investigates skill-sets within Nordic interactive performance practices. The knowledge is shared by the use of a mirror; on one side, the work of interactive performers – on the other, the work of nurses.
The launch of the project's publication includes a reading of two texts by interactive performer Josefina Björk and teacher of the History of Nursing, Helle Kronborg Krogsgaard.
Curator of the Reading edge library, Izabella Borzecka, will host a conversation centered around how to make a publication into a shared container for readers and writers from two seemingly very different professions. What is the method of the mirror? How does it produce knowledge about working with one-to-one interactions? When does the mirror of care work collapse?
After the conversation, the evening will continue in one of the studios where you will be met by a performative presentation of the publication and guided into collective scores of thinking together.

Delta – The page as the stage

A two-day exchange and coming together with the intention to discuss, reflect and share how choreography is practiced and manifested in printed matter, how text and publications can be understood as formats for choreographic inquiries, and how they can be seen as works in themselves. Delta – An Ocean Call | Publikation release och sammankomst

Under Bryssel releasen och sammankomsten av Delta – an ocean call, kommer publikationen bli aktiverad genom läsningar, installationer och korta presentationer. Medverkande i programmet inkluderar kompositören och pianisten Hara Alonso, dansaren och filmskaparen Sirah Foighel Brutman, samt bokhandeln och projektrummet rile* för publikationer och performance.

Under Helsinki releasen och sammankomsten för Delta – an Ocean Call, kommer internationella och lokala konstnärer presentera sina konstnärliga praktiker genom performances, läsningar, samtal och vattniga interventioner. Deltagande konstnärer: Adham Hafez och HaRaKa Platform, Onur Tayranoğlu, Onyedikachi Ben (Kacii Eleven), Kihwa-Endale och Zara Asgher.

Som svar på publikationen "Delta - an Ocean Call", och dess olika perspektiv på vatten, kommer Melody att dela med sig av sitt arbete inom ljud och rörelse i olika övningar. Kvällens delade arbete kommer beröra maktrelationer, agens, att bli betraktad och betrakta, butoh-inspirerade ljudövningar samt undersökningar i andning och röstmeditation.
