Reading edge at AT ISSUE EXTENDED
November 16-8, Weld, Stockholm

When a publication does not explain an artistic practice, how can it approximate the reader to it? If there is generosity in clarity, how can artists grasp what clarity could be, within the universes they wish to propose?
Besides tangible publications as we know them - books, zines and variations, which possible formats could perform as publications? What else could a book become?

Join us and read, look, browse through a selection of publications from Reading edge mobile library in Weld's foyer. On Saturday a joint conversation will be held at 13.30 departing from the above posed questions.

In the Mirror of Care work – publication release
September 5, 17.00-19.30, MDT, Stockholm

In the Mirror of Care Work is a project, symposium and publication that investigates skill-sets within Nordic interactive performance practices. The knowledge is shared by the use of a mirror; on one side, the work of interactive performers – on the other, the work of nurses.

The launch of the project's publication includes a reading of two texts by interactive performer Josefina Björk and teacher of the History of Nursing, Helle Kronborg Krogsgaard.

Curator of the Reading edge library, Izabella Borzecka, will host a conversation centered around how to make a publication into a shared container for readers and writers from two seemingly very different professions. What is the method of the mirror? How does it produce knowledge about working with one-to-one interactions? When does the mirror of care work collapse?

After the conversation, the evening will continue in one of the studios where you will be met by a performative presentation of the publication and guided into collective scores of thinking together.
